This quilt is named for the electrical charges that appear to be energetically criss-crossing its surface. Inspired by a vintage quilt, Positive Charge pays homage to the resilient women who labored without electricity, caring for home and family without the advantages of modern appliances, and and the clothing and quilts they sewed by lantern light on treadle sewing machines.
